Clambo
in Kindergarten
One of Clambo's favourite stories, and
one of his first memories
It was recess in Kindergarten, and Clambo was digging in the sandbox. He liked to build, indoors with blocks, outdoors by digging in the sand (practicing for his clam destiny, although he wasn't aware of it). He also liked to climb, and was known as the King of the Monkeybars, although that has nothing to do with this story.
Anyway, he was digging a long narrow ditch with his hands, and was just filling part of it in with a small wall, when a girl arrived. She had an annoying tone of voice as she asked, "Whatcha building?"
The young boy responded simply, "A dam."
To which the little girl whined, "Ohww, you said a bad word, I'm tellin'!" Then she ran off to tell the teacher, leaving a very confused young clam sitting in the sandbox.
Clambo observed the girl telling the teacher, but the teacher simply shooed her away, and never came over to scold him. Clambo remained confused for many years, and still might be, for all we know.
